Greg Jarboe is the President and co-founder of SEO-PR, a pioneer in combining search engine optimization with public relations as well as a leading authority in video marketing and social media marketing. Founded in 2003, the content marketing agency has provided a variety of clients with award-winning results:

  • In 2012, SEO-PR and the Rutgers Center for Management Development (CMD) won the Measurement & ROI Award in the Education and Academic Division from the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR), for an unconventional test of identical press releases distributed with and without a photo. The agency distributed the same press release via Business Wire at identical times one week apart. The first release had no photo and the second one did. Despite the fact that Google News didn't index the second release, it got 20% more views and 63% more clicks in 14 days than the first press release got in 21 days.
     
  • In 2010, SEO-PR and the SES Conference & Expo won the Best Use of Social Media Award at the first Conference Awards for events which have benefited significantly from the use of social media – such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Meetup.

 

Jarboe is author of YouTube and Video Marketing: An Hour a Day, 2nd Edition, which is also part of the Marketing with Social Media: An Hour a Day Collection, 2nd Edition. In addition, Jarboe is a contributor to Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions by by Guy Kawasaki as well as Complete B2B Online Marketing by William Leake, Lauren Vaccarello, and Maura Ginty. Jarboe writes for Search Engine Watch and ReelSEO. He conducts interviews for the SES Conference & Expo channel on YouTube. He is a frequent speaker at the SES Conference & Expo series and the PRSA International Conference. The International Search Summit audience voted him the winner of its first Medallion Speaker Award.

He in the Online PR Faculty Chair at Market Motive and an instructor in the Rutgers Mini-MBA Programs in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing.

Prior to co-founding SEO-PR in 2003, Jarboe was the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Backbone Media, Vice President of Marketing at WebCT, Director of Corporate Communications at Ziff-Davis, Director of Marketing at PC/Computing, and Director of Corporate Communications at Lotus Development Corporation.

Jarboe graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan, attended the University of Edinburgh, and completed all the course work for his Masters in Applied Management at Lesley College.
